Why do I want to be like my father, who has a big heart and a spirit of sacrifice?

In this blog post, I reflect on how my father’s big heart, reliability, and spirit of sacrifice have become a model for my life.

My ideal person is my father. My father has all the qualities that I value: a big heart, reliability, and a spirit of sacrifice for others. For these reasons, I have always respected my father and look up to him as my role model.
My father runs a small company. Although it is not a large company, his role as the head of a group is very important. When his employees make mistakes at work, rather than scolding or reprimanding them, my father comforts them by saying, “You learn through your mistakes.” Of course, he does not just forgive them blindly. He gives them advice so that they don’t make the same mistakes again. He always tells me, “People make mistakes. That’s why it’s important to forgive them, but it’s even more important to help them not repeat the same mistakes.” He teaches me to be a broad-minded person.
There was also a time when my father visited other companies to ask for help in promoting a company plan. Each company told him, “We trust you, so we will help you.” I envied my father for being trusted by others. My father told me, “In order to be trusted by others, you must show that you are trustworthy. And the best way to do that is to be loyal.” Since then, I have been trying to show others that I am trustworthy.
My father is very dedicated and self-sacrificing. I like this aspect of my father even more than the two things I mentioned earlier. It may sound funny, but when we order chicken at home, my father likes the legs, but he always gives them to me and my sister and eats the skinless wings first. He also visits his employees’ dormitories to help clean, and when it is farming season, he goes to the countryside to help with the farm work even without being asked by my maternal grandmother. As someone who will become a doctor and sacrifice myself for others, I am trying to learn from my father’s example.
Some people say that it is not good to keep sacrificing for others because they will take it for granted if you keep doing it. However, I find helping others rewarding, and I don’t think it is right to ignore people who cannot do anything without our help by telling them, “If we keep helping you, you will become more dependent.” The same is true for doctors who volunteer their services. Elderly people living alone in remote mountain villages need someone’s help. Will helping them make them more dependent on others? I don’t think so. Rather, they will feel grateful and be motivated to work harder. That is why I think it is important to be self-sacrificing toward others.
My father taught me many lessons. One of them is to have a broad mind. My father always tries to understand other people’s perspectives and thinks about their situations first. Thanks to this, I learned to be considerate of others and to think from their perspective.
My father also taught me the importance of reliability. He always keeps his promises and does what he says. This has earned him the trust of those around him, and seeing this, I decided that I wanted to be like him. I am working hard to become someone who can be trusted by others.
My father’s spirit of sacrifice is the thing I admire most about him. He always puts the happiness of others before his own interests. He spares no time or effort in helping others. Seeing this, I decided that I wanted to live a life of dedication to others.
My ideal person is my father. His broad mind, reliability, and spirit of sacrifice for others inspire me greatly. I will continue to follow my father’s teachings to improve myself and strive to become a better person. Through this process, I hope that one day I will become a respected person like my father.
Through my father’s teachings, I am constantly striving to become a better person. I want to follow my father’s example of generosity, reliability, and selflessness, and become someone who has a positive influence on others. With my father’s teachings in mind, I will continue to improve myself and strive to become a better person.
My father also emphasized the importance of always working diligently. He always does his best, whether at work or at home, and puts his heart into even the smallest tasks. Seeing my father like this, I have developed the habit of doing my best in everything I do. My father’s diligence has been a great inspiration to me, and I am striving to become a diligent person myself.
My father also taught me the importance of responsibility. He always takes responsibility for his work and strives to see it through to the end. My father’s attitude has been a great lesson for me, and I am working hard to become a responsible person myself.
I will keep my father’s teachings in my heart and strive to become a better person. I want to follow my father’s example of generosity, trustworthiness, and selflessness, and become someone who has a positive influence on others. Through this process, I hope that one day I will become a respected person like my father.
